Dr Myra Elliott
Dr Myra Elliott is a familiar name to all in the dental profession in Singapore. She is one of the most senior practitioners in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr Elliott practices in Mount Elizabeth Medical Center and is an honorary consultant in several other hospitals in Singapore. She was trained in a major oral surgical unit in Sheffield, UK, after graduating from Singapore with BDS. Over the years she developed interests in cleft lip and palate surgery and is one of few oral surgeons actively engaged in cleft surgery in Singapore.
Since 1997, Dr Elliot has travelled widely in the region performing and teaching cleft surgery. Together with other volunteers, she has traveled to places such as Sabah, the Riau islands in Indonesia, Northern Thailand, Myanmar and Philippines to offer free dental treatment.
Dr Caroline Low
Dr Caroline Low is a Senior Physician in Raffles Health Screeners and Raffles Aesthetics.
Dr Low, the founder and Chairwoman of Kidz Horizon Appeal, is passionate about fund raising. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees, KK Hospital Health Endowment Fund. Since it started, the Appeal has raised over half a million dollars annually to help children with chronic illnesses, including cancer and HIV. Dr Low received the President's Social Service Award (PSSA), a highly prestigious award, conferred by the office of the President of the Republic of Singapore in 2009. She also received Singapore Tatler's Excellence Award for Philanthropy in 2009.
There will also be a short update on cervical cancer awareness & prevention: "Vaccination: Is it for you?" by Dr Chia Yin Nin, Head & Senior Consultant, Dept of Gynae Oncology, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
The evening will be accompanied by classic Italian food from Pontini Restaurant. Expect the sumptuous meal to delight and excite your taste buds!
