25 October 2008: AWDS GOURMET COOKING CLASS by Rose Siow

Despite everyone’s busy schedules and having to juggle a multitude of roles as mother, wife, doctor & career woman, some ladies gathered one Saturday afternoon for a gourmet cooking class specially conducted for AWDS by the renowned home chef Miss Rose Siow, whose cooking services were successfully auctioned off at $10,000 during the AWDS Inaugural Charity Gala Dinner in Aug 2007.
The ladies were treated to a delightful jewellery preview by Miss Pooja Agarwal, a certified gemologist and feature writer/contributor to many jewellery magazines in Singapore (LUXX Jewellery, Millionaire Asia, Prestige, Tic Talk), Russia, India, Europe etc. before whipping up a storm in the kitchen over a few bottles of wine. It was a delightful, fun-filled soiree as the ladies added pan fried foie gras , ox tail in savoy cabbage, mentaiko squid ink pasta (fusion dish), and hot chocolate lava cake to their repertoire of dishes; all while supporting a good cause, with proceeds going to Sanctuary House.
