1st October 2009: Up Close and Personal with PRIME MINISTER Lee Hsien Loong
“ With the new phase of economic development, what are the challenges women will face in terms of their career, family and marriage as well as care-giving for their elderly parents?”
20 members from the Association of Women Doctors Singapore were invited to attend a dialogue session with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Thursday, 1 October 2009 at the new People’s Association Headquarters Auditorium located at 9 King George’s Avenue. The session was chaired by Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and Transport.
Other professional women’s groups at the session were: Singapore Nurses Association (SNA), Singapore Council of Women’s Organizations (SCWO), Singapore Association of Women Lawyers (SAWL), Singapore Human Resource Institute, Association of Small and Medium Enterprise (ASME), Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW), Business and Professional Women's Association (BPWA), Financial Women's Association (FWA), Young Women Leaders Connect (YWLC), Singapore Insitute of Architects (SIA), Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers, NTUC Women's Committee, Institute of Certified Public Accountants Singapore, People’s Association Women's Integration Network (WIN) Council and Association of Muslim Professionals.
